About Us

Humphrey and Scace is a family run, independent Estate Planners who specialise in Wills, LPA’s and all manner of Trusts.  We work across Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and Essex. Our mission is very simple. We aim to give our clients the best possible advice, in a clear and simple manner at reasonable, transparent and competitive rates.

We have many years experience in the industry and are trained by the Society of Will Writers and adhere to their code of conduct. We appreciate that most people are not overly familiar with the concept of writing their own Will, particularly once the complexities of Trusts are introduced. Our mission is simple — to explain to our customers everything in a way that they clearly understand. We appreciate that not everyone is a legal expert so we are completely adept at putting seemingly complicated things into plain and simple everyday English.

Normally we will visit you in the comfort of your own home and discuss with you exactly what type of Will you require. Having looked at your circumstances we can suggest how we would structure your Will.  It might be advisable to add the extra security of a Trust. If so we can explain how they work. We then go away and draft your Will, forward you the draft copy to make any necessary changes before we prepare the final version.

No stress.  Explained in simple everyday English in the comfort of your own home.

Some things that people consider when thinking about Wills and Trusts:

  • What happens to my estate if I die and my partner remarries?
  • What happens to my children’s inheritance if they divorce?
  • Would my children lose their inheritance if they went bankrupt?
  • What would happen to our house if either of us had to go into a care home?
  • How does Inheritance Tax effect things?
  • We have a young family. What will happen to our kids if something happens to us?
  • Where will they go and how will they cope financially?
  • We both have children from previous relationships. How do we write a Will to take this into account?
